Here at Proper Natural we try our best at keeping our waste as low as possible and to be environmentally friendly. We make sure that every day we Reduce, Reuse and Recycle and try to reduce the amount of packaging we use on a daily basis.
We also reuse or recycle all of our boxes and plastic packaging that we get our products supplied to us in.
When it comes to our packaging we try our best to get products that you guys can recycle at home. So within our packaging we have our -
Cardboard boxes
Our boxes are made from recycled cardboard and are 100% recyclable too.
Greaseproof paper
Our greaseproof paper is also 100% recyclable.
Kraft Bags
One of the main reasons for choosing our bags was due to them being food-safe and that is important to us to make sure everything we do is safe for your dog. However these bags are not recyclable due to them being single use plastic. We made the decision to use these bags after sampling others but unfortunately no other bags met the requirements we needed. As you know most of our treats have natural oils in them therefore they can leak through bags that don't have a protective layer inside. If this was to happen the treats would decrease in their shelf life and make them unhygienic.
ECO-Fill Packing Peanuts
The packing peanuts we use are called eco-flow and are made from GM free sustainable raw materials. They are also 100% biodegradable and compostable. They can also simply be run under warm water to which they will dissolve with zero remains. They are made from corn starch and are 100% maize based.
We are always looking and sampling different products that are better for the environment and can be 100% recycled.
