What is Paddywack & is it good for my dog?

Firstly, you may think - What is Paddywack?

Paddywack is made from the nuchal ligament originating from Beef or Cattle and is more commonly known as neck sinew. Which is a tough, elastic ligament only found in the neck area. This ligament is part of the body's structure that helps keep the animal's neck upright.

As with most 100% natural treats and chews, Paddywack often comes in a variety of sizes depending on the size of the original animal. We offer 3 different sizes - Small, Medium or Giant making them suitable for dog breeds of all sizes. 

Is Paddywack long lasting?

Paddywack is considered a long lasting chew due to its elastic texture holding up well to even those powerful chewers. We have included a Paddywack strip in our Power Chew Variety Pack.

Is it safe for my dog to chew on?

Yes, Paddywack is a fully edible chew that is suitable for all dogs and puppies over 8 weeks old. As with every treat or chew, we always recommend that you supervise your dog and remove once it becomes too small or hold to prevent choking hazards and to monitor during their time spent gnawing too.

What are the benefits for my dog?

Paddywack has many health benefits for your dog such as  :-

• Low in fat- With only 7.5% fat content, it makes for a great guilt free chew even for older dogs and especially for dogs with conditions such as pancreatitis.

Does Paddywack smell?

Whilst no 100% natural treat is completely odourless, Paddywack is considered a chew that does have a very low odour, making them suitable for indoor chews.

Which size does my dog need?

The benefit of us selling these is multiple different sizes is that it makes them suitable for all dog breeds and sizes. When choosing which size for your dog, here are a few pointers to help you choose correctly.

• Toy/Small Breeds (1-10kg) - Choose the small Paddywack

• Medium Breeds (11-20kg) - Choose the medium Paddywack

• Large Breeds (21+kg) - Choose the giant Paddywack

Things to consider - Whilst the dog size/weight guide is useful, if you have a particularly powerful chewing small/medium breed of dog, then it is always recommended to upsize to help prevent breaking off large pieces and choking hazards. Paddywack is 100% edible and can be easily digested meaning if your dog does break off smaller pieces they are safe to eat.

How is Paddywack made?

Paddywack, just like most other 100% natural treats and chews, are laid flat and simply air dried. This helps lock in all those nutritional benefits.
